Our StoryAzra Riaz opened the doors to Libertes Hair & Beauty Studio in 1992 to cater for an obvious void in the market in West Yorkshire at that time. Libertes became the 1st salon in the area to specialise in Asian bridal hair & make up along with many other tailor-made treatments. Libertes has evolved over time into providing exclusive hair, facial & beauty treatments in a contemporary environment.
Azra is a qualified lecturer in hair & beauty, combining creativity, confidence & pioneering vison with dexterity, charisma & business acumen. Azra has previously served as beauty editor at Roop magazine & has been featured in several magazines (Asian bridal) over the years. She has also participated in regional heats of Loreal colour Trophy. Azra is a featured author in ‘Beauty & The Best”, a UK & American best-selling book which chronicles the achievements of 22 female beauty entrepreneurs. Together with her team she is committed to bringing awareness of the latest skin & beauty trends to her clientele. Azra is a great believer in education and as a result encourages her team to attend regular training courses to enhance knowledge and to keep on top of the latest trends. This in turn adds more to the client experience. Taking this one step further Azra has committed to becoming an “Investor in People” business. Amongst its many accolades, Libertes has achieved a 5-star rating in the Good Salon Guide for numerous years and has been an award-winning salon for the past 20 consecutive years. Azra & the salon were proud to be featured in a piece for BBC Look North. The Libertes Hair & Beauty team always strive for perfection with a calm friendly approach & expert, holistic client care. |
The salon celebrated its 30th year in business in December 2022 and with Azra not one for resting on her laurels the salon will be undergoing a major refit in 2023. |
